what does ipsilateral mean
both sides
what does unilateral mean

what are limb girdles
supporting structure eg The shoulder girdle is the bony structure that surrounds the shoulder area, and the pelvic girdle is the bony structure surrounding the hips.
name seven body cavities
cranial, spinal, thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, also pleural and pericardial
difference between pleural and pericardial
pleural is distal and ipsilateral to the pericardial cavity
pleural is fluid filled space containing the lungs, pericardial contains the heart
what structure separates the thorax from the abdomen
The diaphragm is a thin dome-shaped muscle which separates the thoracic cavity (lungs and heart) from the abdominal cavity (intestines, stomach, liver, etc.)
