Q

What is stage 2 of a depression

A

At the warm front where warm air meets cold air and rises above it due to the warm air being lighter their is steady rained and temperatures begin to rise while the clouds get thicker

Q

What is stage 3 of a depression

A

The warm sector is a region of warmer air between the hot and cold front. Hot air begins to rise forming cumulonimbus clouds and conditions tend to be dry but some rain is possible

Q

What is stage 4 of the depression

A

The cold front hits as cold air moves in and undercuts the hot air. The cumulonimbus clouds are now fully formed resulting in heavy rain as the temperature drops as the cold air is dominant

Q

What is stage 5 of the depression

Q

What happens during an occluded front

A

Sometimes a depression brings an occluded front where the cold front catches up with the warm front causing a rise in pressure and a change in wind direction
