the type that slows down digestion and absorption of carbs to help control blood sugar levels
what is insoluble dietary fibre?
absorbs water and increases bulk to help the gut to work properly
function of fibre
- helps remove toxic or harmful waste products in the body
- helps to prevent bowel disorders such as constipation
- gives body a feeling of fullness
