- Fruit n veg

What is the fruit n veg goal?
Increase average fruit n veg consumption to reach 5 portions a day (400g)
What is the fibre goal?
Increase intake of fibre to 30g per day for adults
What is the total complex carb goal?
Increase TTC to reach 50% of total energy in the diet per day
What is the oily fish goal?
Increase oily fish to one portion per week (140g)
What 5 groups should be decreased?
- Total fat
- Saturated fat
- Salt
- Sugar
- Calories
What is the total fat goal?
Decrease average of total fat consumption to no more than 35% of food energy
What is the saturated fat goal?
Decrease average intake of saturated fat to no more than 11% of food energy
What is the salt goal?
Decrease average intake of salt to 6g per day
What is the sugar goal?
Average sugar intake should be no more than 5% of total energy
What is the calories goal?
Average intake of calories should be reduced by 120kcal per day
What are the 2 rules on red meat?
- Red and processed meat to be around 70g per person per day
- Care should be taken not to eat more than 90g per day
