Make metabolic reactions happen faster because they are in a solution

Water molecules can also be involved in chemical reactions directly

Water in and around our cells absorb lots of heat energy without its temp increasing much keeping conditions stable
What are strong cohesive properties?
Can be pulled through plants in a column as the water molecules are held together by hydrogen bonds
What does it mean to have Hugh surface tension?
Habitats can form in the surface of the water
Why does it help for water to be colourless and high transmission?
Light can pass through cells for photosynthesis
Why does it help that water is not easily compressed?
Provides support eg in plants
