Jack up
- An abrupt increase, typically in the price of something
“Thee jacked up the price of the Nintendo switch because they knew people would still buy it.” - something done that was really wrong
“That was so jacked up that she lied to her about that.”
Knock
To speak negatively, to disparage, to badmouth
“I told her not to knock Chinese food if she never tried it.”
Lighten up
relax, stay calm, go from negative to positive
“Lighten up, everyone makes mistakes sometimes.”
Pass the buck
deflect or pass the blame or responcibility onto someone else
“He passed the buck to me because he was too lazy to finish it himself.”
Piece of cake
easy, simple
“How about the math test next week. It’ll be a piece of cake.”
Pig out
eat so much and feel so full
“I can’t wait to pig out on the pizza for dinner.”
Plead the fifth
refuse to answer any questions because you will probably get yourself in trouble
“Daddy decided to plead the fifth when Mommy asked him about how he made the pasta.”

a person’s signature
“I need your John Hancock on this paper before I submit it.”
Sweet
something that is good, or nice
“That new Mercedes is sweet!”
uptight
opposite of relaxed
“Why are you so uptight, we have the day off from school?”
chill
- being relaxed, nothing bothers you
“That dude is so chill, nothing bothers him.” - keeping it easy, not doing much
“I’m just going to stay inside and chill this weekend.”
toast
- to say you will beat someone at something
“I going to toast you!” (at a race or game) - when you beat someone at something
“I toasted you!”
