chemical
a compound or substance that has been purified or prepared, especially artificially (not natural)
What are the 5 most common chemicles and what are they used for?
conductivity
the rate at which heat passes through a specified material.
Write a list of 5 things that have good conductivity and 5 that don’t have good conductivity.
elliptical
the shape of an ellipse, which is an elongated circle, stretched into an oval.
Draw and elipse on a seperate sheet of paper and give it to me.
magnetic
possessing an extraordinary power or ability to attract, usually metal.
Write a list of 5 magnetic items and 5 nonmagnetic items.
malleable
able to be hammered or pressed permanently out of shape without breaking or cracking.
Seach for a list of malleable and nonmalleable items and write at least 5 for each.
position
a particular way in which someone or something is placed or arranged
The position of the heater is important so it will warm the most of the apartment.
renewable
A renewable resource is a substance of economic value that can be replaced or replenished in the same or less amount of time as it takes to draw the supply down.
Wind is a renewable resource. Oil is not. The sun is a renewable resource. Coal is not.
temperature
the degree or intensity of heat present in a substance or object,
How do we measure temperature?
transparent
allowing light to pass through so that objects behind can be distinctly seen.
A window is an example of something transparent.
