Speech refers to the sounds we use for talking.

What is the definition of language?
Our understanding and talking.
It includes:
- vocabulary and meaning
- semantics (how words go together and how order changes meaning)
- higher level skills (reasoning and inference)
What is the definition of communication?
Communication is more all encompassing.
It includes:
- Pragmatics
- Body language
- Eye contact
- Gestures/Signing
Explain the Means, Reasons and Opportunities Model

Reasons - Why is a SU communicating?
