An alternative to a traditional workweek that increases the number of hours per day and decreases the number of days worked.
Compressed Workweek
The highest-ranking person in a company who reports to the board of directors and develops and implements strategic plans, makes major corporate decisions, and (often) oversees company operations.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
A website or part of a website, where an individual can share his or her thoughts and ideas on a variety of topics

An arrangement in which two or more people complete the duties of one job position
Job Sharing
A legal relation existing between two or more persons contractually associated as joint principals in a business
Partnership
The way that lines of authority, responsibility, and communication are arranged in order to accomplish the work of the business
Organizational Structure
The key values, beliefs, and attitudes that drive an organization and the way it conducts business
Organizational Culture
Nonverbal messages transmitted through gestures and posture using the eyes, face, hands, arms, and legs.
Body Language
A person who owns shares of stock in a company
Stockholder
A type of business that is owned and controlled by one individual and in which there is no legal distinction between the owner and the business.
Sole Proprietorship
Standards of conduct that show us how to behave in a cultured, polite, or refined way especially when with other people
Manners
The rules indicating the proper and polite way to behave
Etiquette
A style of professional dress that is less formal than traditional, conservative professional dress and that varies by organization
Business Casual Dress
A set of values based on the merits of hard work and diligence
Work Ethic
The way in which a person is perceived in the business world relating to integrity, work ethic, skills, personal appearance, and etiquette
Professional Image
The process of exchanging information with other people and building positive business relationships
Networking
A group of persons elected or appointed to perform some service or function, as to investigate, report on, or act upon a particular matter.
