A Protestant group that wanted to reform the Anglican Church because they thought that the bishops and priests had too much power over them.

an African man who survived the middle passage. He purchased his freedom after being sold to a British navel officer and working as a sailor. He kept a journal that is still read today.

the first permanent English settlement in North America.

A document signed by all male passengers on the mayflower in which they agreed to make fair laws and protect the general good.
