facial flushing, hyperglycemia, hyperuricemia
niacin excess/toxicity
dermatitis, enteritis, alopecia, adrenal insufficiency
vitamin B5 deficiency
convulsions, hyper irritability, peripheral neuropathy, sideroblastic anemias
vitamin B6 deficiency (pyridoxine)
dermatitis, alopecia, enteritis ( caused by antibiotic use or excessive ingestion of raw egg whites)
Vitamin B7 deficiency (biotin)
microcytic, megaloblastic anemia; glossitis
vitamin B9 deficiency (folate)
swollen gums, brushing, petechiae, hemarthrosis, anemia, poor wound healing, corkscrew hair
vitamin C deficiency (ascorbic acid)
nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis
vitamin C (ascorbic acid) excess
hemolytic anemia, acanthocytosis, muscle weakness, posterior column and spinocerebellar tract demyelination
vitamin E deficiency
delayed wound healing, hypogonadism, decreased adult hair, dysgeusia, anosmia, acrodermatitis enteropathica
