A

-neurologic insult + VI+ normal ocular exam= brain not able to interpret what is being seen
-most have associated neuro diagnosis or abnormality
-variable level of visual impairment

-underdeveloped nerve responsible for transmitting visual information from eye to brain
-associated w neuro and endocrine disorders
