- Human flourishing
- it is objective
- is an activity- consists of realising potential
- relates to a person as a whole

Eudaimonia is not just simply:

- pleasure; animals can seek pleasure so pleasure is not a characteristic of human beings
- wealth; money is a means to end
- virtues; you can have virtues but not exercise them
- honour; to have honour, others must honour you for something

Eudaimonia is:
A
Perfect; that is, we do not desire it for some further end
We desire it in and of itself without qualification.
It is self sufficient

How do we acquire virtues?
A
Through habituation
We have the potential and then exhibit the activity
It is a development of character

Tells us to do things that are good which creates a habit
