Common Assault
It is an offence for any person to unlawfully assault or beat any other person
Assault is any act which the defendant - intentionally or recklessly
- causes the victim to
- apprehend
- immediate and
- unlawful violence

A person commits this offence if they
- Unlawfully and
- maliciously
- wound or inflict grievous bodily harm

- wound or cause grievous bodily harm

A person commits this offence if
- without lawful excuse they
- make a threat

- have anything in the custody or control
- intending without lawful excuse
- to use it or permit another to use it
