Theft Act 1968: Section 1
Theft
A person is guilty of theft if
- they dishonesty appropriate property
- belonging to another
- with the intent to permanently deprive the other of it

Robbery
Theft with the use of force
A person is guilty of robbery if
- they steal
- and immediately before or at the time of doing so
- and in order to do so
- they use force on any person or puts or seeks to put any person in fear of being then and there subjected to force

Burglary
1a - a person is guilty of burglary if
- they enter any building or part of a building
- as a trespasser and
- with intent to commit an offence (theft/GBH/unlawful damage)
- they do not have to commit this offences but must intend to do so on entry
1b - a person is guilty of burglary if
- having entered any building or part of a building
- as a trespasser
- they steal or attempts to steal
- or inflicts or attempts to inflict GBH

Aggravated burglary
A person is guilty of aggravated burglary if
- they commit any burglary and
- at the time
- has with them
- any firearm, imitation firearm, any weapon of offence or any explosive

Taking a conveyance
A person if guilty of this offence if
- without having the consent of the owner or lawful authority
- they take any conveyance for their own or another use or
- knowing that any conveyance has been taken, drives or allows themselves to be carried in it or on it

Aggravated vehicle taking
A person is guilty of this offence if
- they commit the basic offence of TWOC in relation to an MPV and
- at any time after that MPV was taken and before it was recovered
- it was driven dangerously or
- an accident occurs whereby injury is caused to any person including the driver or
- damage was caused to either the vehicle or any property

Pedal Cycles
It is an offence to take a pedal cycle without the consent of the owner or other lawful authority or knowing it has been taken, to ride on it

Bilking - Making off without payment
- Knowing that payment on the post for any goods supplied or services done is required or expected from them,
- dishonestly makes off without having paid as required or expected and
- with intent to avoid payment

Vehicle interference
A person is guilt if they interfere with
- a motor vehicle or trailer
- or anything carried in or on the motor vehicle or trailer
- with the intention that one of the relevant offences shall be committed by themselves or another

Possession of an offensive weapon
- Any person without lawful authority or reasonable excuse,
- proof of which shall lie on the defendant
- have with them
- in a public place
- an offensive weapon

Bladed or sharply pointed article in a public place
It is an offence for a person to have with them any article
- which has a blade or is sharply pointed
- in a public place
- without good reason or lawful authority
- the onus of proof being on the carrier

Manufacture, sale or hire
It is an offence for any person
- to manufacture, sell, hire or offer for sale or hire
- weapon such as disguised knives, stealth knives, knuckledusters, blow pipes, truncheons, samurai swords

Handling stolen goods
A person is guilt of this offence if
- otherwise than in the course of stealing
- knowing or believing them to be stolen goods
- dishonestly receives the goods, or dishonestly undertakes or assists in their retention, removal, realisation or disposal
- by or for the benefit of another
- or if they arrange to do so

Attempts
If with the intent to commit an offence to which this section applies
- a person does an act
- which is more than merely preparatory to the commission of the offence
They are guilty of attempting to commit the offence

Blackmail
A person is guilty of this offence if they
- with a view to gain for themself or another or with the intent to cause loss to another
- they make any unwarranted demand
- with menaces
