16
Q

What main page is used to save and load Show files?

A

The Filing page.

17
Q

Can a Show file be loaded directly from a USB drive into the Venue software?

A

No. Show files cannot be loaded directly from an external storage device; you must transfer external Show files onto the system before you can load them.

18
Q

What is the main risk of leaving a Venue system in Config mode during an event?

A

Some operations in Config mode will restart the Venue software and may interrupt audio.

19
Q

How can you toggle between operating modes on the control surface?

A

By pressing the Config Mode switch.

20
Q

What will happen if a system has fewer Mix Engines installed than required by preset configurations?

A

The console will load as many of the specified DSP resources as possible, truncating first the plug-ins and then the EQs. In such case, the Filing tab will turn red as a visual warning that resources have been truncated.

21
Q

What effect does using a high number of Input Channels have on DSP.

A

It reduces the amount of DSP available.

22
Q

How can you adjust the number of input channels in order to maximise the DSP available?

A

By selecting the lowest number of input channels that meets the needs of your show.

23
Q

Is it possible to configure the FX Returns on an SC48?

A

No. SC48 systems are fixed at 8 FX Returns.

24
Q

Why could selecting the L-C-R configuration without having a PA connected to the centre channel be problematic?

A

With a divergence setting of 100% (the default), any signals panned “straight up” will be present on the C bus only and will not be heard in the PA fed by the left/right bus.

25
Q

What might happen when changing Bus Configuration settings?

A

Audio may be interrupted or may change levels.

26
Q

What main page and sub-tab can be used to ensure that your installed options are recognised by the system?

A

Options/Devices.

27
Q

What main page and sub-tab can be used to quickly assess the available hardware of a Venue system?

A

Options/Devices.

28
Q

In what modes can Patchbay operations be made?

A

Show and Config mode.

29
Q

How can you display multiple Hardware and Channel tabs on the Patchbay page?

A

By Shift+Clicking the tabs.

30
Q

What will happen if an input gets reassigned on an existing (preconfigured) Show?

A

The input will inherit the state of the preamp (gain, 48V, pad), HPF, and other parameters on the newly assigned channel.

31
Q

How do you copy the settings from one channel to another? (5)

A
  1. Right-Click anywhere within upper channel display area on source channel
  2. Choose ‘Copy’.
  3. Select destination channel(s).
  4. Right-Click on any non-control area of display.
  5. Choose “Paste to Selected Strips”.
