Q

What is overdrive pacing?

A

To resolve VT. Electrode implanted in base of RV & stimulated at higher rate than VT until capture occurs. Rate then slowed down until SA takes over.

Q

What are some determining factors of VT vs SVT with aberrancy?

A

Brugada’s Criteria (Concordance, Brugada’s Sign & AV Dissociation), Josephson’s Sign, Fusion & Capture beats, Hx of MI/CHF/Angina all increase likelihood of VT.
Hx of younger/SVT increases SVT.
