A

Severe systemic vasodilation (vasoplegia, vasodilatory shock) with markedly decreased SVR. Severe persistent post op hypotension despite normal or increased CI, low MAP
May be cause by SIRS

Treatment of choice is Vasopression 0.01 to 0.04 units minute
Norepinephrine OR phenyleprhine

  1. Activation of contact, coagulation and complement systems
  2. The activation of leukocytes, platelets and endothelial cells resulting in an IMBALANCE IN THE REGULATION OF THE VASCULAR TONE.
