How are vasculitides classified?
According to the size of the vessel affecred
Name two of each of the following:
a) large vessel vasculitis

a) giant cell arteritis, Takayasu’s aortitis
b) Polyarteritis nodosa, Kawasaki’s disease
c) Wegener’s granulomatosis, microscopic polyangiitis
How are the small vessel vasculitides further classified?
ANCA +ve and -ve
How do the large and small/medium vasculitides differ in presentation?
Large- classical clinical pattern based on vessel affected
Medium/small- multiorgan involvement with less specific features
Name the vasculitis being described:
a) jaw claudication, scalp tenderness, visual loss
b) microaneurysms, thrombosis, infarctions, hypertension, testicular pain
c) nasal discharge, ulceration, haemoptysis, sinusitis, glomerulonephritis
