What is it?
How is it classified?
A
➊ Inflammation of blood vessels
➋ • Small Vessel - Henoch-Schoenlein Purpura, Microscopic Polyangiitis, Granulomatosis with polyangiitis
• Medium Vessel - Kawasaki Disease, Polyarteritis Nodosa
• Large Vessel - GCA, Takayasu’s Arteritis

What are the features of it?
A
• Purpura - non-blanching spots from blood leaking out of vessels under the skin
• Arthralgia, Myalgia
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Diarrhoea, Abdominal pain
• Anterior uveitis and scleritis
• HTN

Which bloods should be done?
How is it managed?
A
➊ • ESR, CRP - Raised
• ANCA - +ve in many cases
➋ Steroids + Immunosuppressants
