What are the se’s of NSAIDs?
A
• Dyspepsia and GI ulceration
• Nephrotoxicity - causes afferent arteriole vasoconstriction

What are the se’s of Bisphosphonates?
What steps can be done to reduce the risk of the main se’s?
A
➊ • Oesophageal reactions, such as oesophagitis, oesophageal ulcers, erosions and strictures
• Jaw osteonecrosis
• Hypocalcaemia
➋ • Take whole, with lots of water
• Take on an empty stomach at least 30 mins before breakfast
• After taking, remain upright for at least 30 mins

What are the se’s of Corticosteroids?
A
- Adrenal suppression
- Immunosupression
- Cushingoid appearance - central obesity, buffalo hump, moon face
- Thinning of skin
- Hyperglycaemia
- Acne

What are the se’s of Methotrexate?
A
• GI disturbance
• Folate deficiency (anaemia)
• Immunosupression (causes bone marrow suppression)
• Teratogenicity
