they randomly selected 290 male and female psychiatrists to read two cases on patients and then asked to offer their judgement using a diagnostic criteria.
what did Loring and Powell find?
they found that when the patients were described as males or given no info on their gender, 56% of the psychiatrists gave them a diagnosis of sz, but when patients were described as female only 20% were give a diagnosis of sz.
