Vaccines Flashcards
1
Q
goal of vaccines
A
immunise people with a begnin form of a pathogen to induce a primary immune response and thus immunological memory against a specific pathogen.
2
Q

vaccine antigens induce production of antigen specific antibodies as well as activation and production of antigen specific T cells and B cells .
They also establish immunological memory so that re exposure to the same antigen induces a better secondary adaptive immune response
