Q

Adhesive capsulitis table. Tx?

A

Range of motion exercises
NSAIDs
Intraarticular corticosteroid injection
Surgery - eg manipulation, arthroscopic capsular release

17
Q

Q. Calcific tendinopathy. Crystals?

A

hydroxyapatite deposits in rotator cuff tendons

18
Q

Q. Calcific tendinopathy. CP?

A

Pain during abduction, which may be severe. Active ROM limited due to pain. Passive ROM intact.

19
Q

A

Q. Calcific tendinopathy

20
Q

Q. Biceps tendinopathy CP?

A

Gradual onset of pain that is aggravated by daily activities (esp. lifting and pulling) + normal ROM.

21

A

Q. Biceps tendinopathy CP?

22
Q

Q. Calcific tendinitis (Ca crystals), rotator cuff tendinopathy, rotator cuff tears, CP? What happens when lidocaine in subacromial space?

A

Pain with shoulder abduction and external rotation along with limited active ROM.

Relieves pain and restore passive ROM – because rotator cuff tendon travels through the subacromial space.

24
Q

Rotator cuff tears = Full thickness tears cause weakness

A

.

25
Q

Q. Osteoarthritis of glenohumeral joints CP? Xray?

A

Decr. both active and passive ROM.
Xray shows findings – decr. joint space, bony changes (eg subchondrial sclerosis), or osteophytes
