What are the features of anterior uveitis?

A
Acute onset
Painful, red eye
Blurred vision (initially normal but then VA becomes impaired)
Photophobia
Lacrimation
Ciliary flush 
Fixed oval shaped pupils

How is anterior uveitis managed?

A

Urgent referral to ophthalmologist
Topical cycloplegics e.g. atropine, cyclopentolate - these dilate pupils and help relieve pain and photophobia
Topical steroids
