MOA of beta-3 adrenergic agonist
Relax bladder muscle and increase amount of urine bladder can hold
May also increase amount of urine excreted, making it easier for bladder to empty completely
Indications of beta-3 adrenergic agonist
Urge incontinence
MOA of anticholinergics
Calm overactive bladder & may help with urge incontinence
What are the non-pharmacological therapies for urinary incontinence
Behavioural therapy, mechanical intervention, surgical intervention, pelvic floor muscle exercise
