What are some factors which have led to Urbanisation/Megacities

A

Migration- moving from the countryside to cities for a better quality of life
Location- cities grow on rivers, coasts and other busy transport routes where trade can thrive
Natural increase- young population leads to high rates of natural increase. Cities also have better health care, therefore fewer deaths and more births
Economic development- trade is a good place for businesses, so cities grow economically, economic growth creates jobs, which attract people
