A
- traditional dress
- 2/3 of population live in slums

what are the challenges facing Lagos?
A
- slums- 2/3 population in slums, poor conditions and facilities (toilets/ water/ electricity)
- informal sector jobs- some scavenge for rubbish to sell because of a lack of formal jobs
- health- no proper sewers and little clean water lead to diseases such as Cholera
- waste disposal- as population increases, resource consumption increases, only 40% of rubbish officially collected

- Lagos State intergrated Waste Management Project
- reduce landfill and air pollution that landfill causes

A
- they collect food market waste to make compost to fertilise farming lands, increasing food supplies
- however they burn methane from rubbish that still ends up in dumps to generate elecricity
