Clavicle bone markings

A
  1. Sternal (medial) End: joins the Clavicular Notch on the Manubrium of the Sternum 2. Acromial (lateral) End: articulates with the Acromion of the scapula. (Acromial: Shoulder - (axial) akron = peak; omos = shoulder.)

  1. Proximally with the Glenoid Fossa of scapula 2. Distally with the Olecranon Fossa of the Ulna (Olecranal = bony projection of the ulna behind the elbow joint posterior elbow region -(axial) Olene = ‘elbow’ and ‘kranion’ = head.)
