Hematemesis
Melena
Syncope
Shock
Fatigue
Coffee ground emesis
Hematochezia
epigastric discomfor

A

Blood is a cathartic and hematochezia usually indicates a vigorous rate of bleeding for the UGI source

A

Alcohol, cigarettes, liver disase, burn/truam, apirin/NSAIDS, vomiting, sepsis, steroids, previous UGI
