A

A

Injures the cause of Christ as well as the spiritual life of the backslider.

Does not diminish the greatness of the Gospel-the backslider is still eligible for redemption.

How does Arminianism respond to each point of Calvinism?

A

Total depravity- Total Depravity (as a consequence of the fall, all human beings have a disposition to sin.

Unconditional election- Conditional Election (election is conditional upon faith)

Limited Atonement- Unlimited Atonement (whosoever will may be saved)

Irresistible Grace- Prevenient grace (denies irresistible grace and affirms the possibility of human choice and decision)

Perseverance of the Saints- Conditional preservation (backsliding is possible continued state of salvation is based on continued state of obedient faith in Christ)
