God is one, no other gods exist and he is omnipotent. He cannot be divided.

God is creator of universe and everything.
Creation story reveals God and his power.
4 characteristics of The Almighty: Judge
God gave laws to follow and will judge people against their actions at death.
4 characteristics of The Almighty: Lawgiver
Like a father, Jews have a guidance to follow and Jewish people have laws to follow so they could be guided on how to live a good and holy life.
What is Shekhinah?
God’s divine presence in the created world.
Beliefs about Shekhinah
God is especially present in the temple (mentioned in Tenakh).
God is present when the pray, study and worship.
Importance of Shekhinah
Jews can be close to God wherever they are.
Teaching of Rabbis and Torah.
All prophets were inspired by Shekhinah.
Divergent beliefs about Shekhinah
Reform see it as feminine attributes of God.
Some see as equivalent to Holy Spirit.
Traditional Jews see it as link between God and modern world.
Qualities of the Messiah
Great political and military leader.
A judge who is well educated and human.
Importance of Messiah
The person who will lead the people back to Israel in the End of Days.
Jews work for peace and justice, Tikkun Olam as when this is brought out, the Messianic Age will come.
Key teaching of Jewish faith that they pray for daily.
Divergent beliefs of the Messiah
Reform don’t believe in a single Messiah but the duty of all Jews to work together to bring change.
