Rose under Shaka Zulu who initiated many military, social, political, and economic reforms such as innovative tactics through their army; put down the church

Caused by the usage of pig and cow fat to lubricate and encase ammo cartridges that were against religious beliefs; fight between sepoys (mercenaries) and the British due to the new Enfield Rifle; led to direct control from the British Crown instead of the BEIC
Indian Rebellion of 1857
This rebellion was in response to the Bourbon reforms of Peru in order to modernize Spain’s control and industrialize the colony; started with Amaru executing a Spanish official and broke out into a full rebellion

The Xhosa tribe killed 400,000 cows in order to rid evil spirits of the Europeans; caused widespread famine due to lack of food supply

Economies that are common in colonies or imperialized nations due to the need to export goods to the other side of the world or to the mother country; mostly used to abuse colonies for economic gain

Similar to colonialism but with an economic focus in which works to exploit the natural resources and cheap labor for profit of the mother country without many settlers

British Navy overwhelms Chinese in order to continue trade with China over the profitable opium and take raw resources
Opium Wars
Transported millions of Indians and Chinese to various colonies to work for European powers as a result of African abolishment of slavery to look for work even though it was slavery
Chinese and Indian Indentured Servitude
Workers migrated from areas in Europe and Chinese for better work and a chance to make money for their family back at home such as Japanese moving from the quick poverty that followed industrialization or Italians emigrating to Argentina for food and economic gain
