Genetics you inherit from your parents.
Genotype
Visible traits you express.
Phenotype
A trait that is obvious and visible and overwrites another.
Dominant Trait
A trait that is less obvious and can be overwritten by dominant traits.
Recessive Trait
Two traits that are equally dominant and show in equal numbers. (ex: AB blood type, white+black chicken= checker chicken)
Codominant Traits
Where two traits blend together. Ex: White flower + red flower = pink flower.
Incomplete Dominance
Trait controlled by one set of genes. Ex: Blue eye color.
Monohybrid Trait
Trait controlled by several genes. Ex: Hair color.
Polyhybrid Trait
When two organisms are not related but produce offspring.
