Gingiva in health characterisitics
Colour: Pink
Contour: Meets at the tooth, slightly rounded
Papilla: pointed, fills the space between the teeth
Consistancy: Firm
Texture: Smooth and/or stippled
Gingival margin: Slightly coronal to the CEJ
Bleeding: No bleeding on probing
Pristine clinic health is defined by
No attachment loss, no bleeding upon probing, and no anatomical loss of periodontal structures. There should be no signs of inflammation which includes redness, clinical swelling, edema and pain.
