What is the purpose of the care act 2014?

A

the care act is for everyone who needs help, the care act is for individuals to get help from the council for their care Needs such as housing, transport and information on local support groups
services include the NHS, independence advice , citizens advise bureau

Individuals in need can ask the Council for Carrying out assessments on you appear to look to be in need of help of care and support, this includes all people of ages such as children,adults.

carers (get the same rights for the person they care for) - if eligible you can have help and access to support also have the right to ask for an asssesment.

what is the purpose of Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE)

A

support agency for the whole social care sector.
They work with adults, families and children’s care and a wide range of support services right across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

SCIE also works with the central Government and national stakeholders to improve the quality of care and support services by:
>Identifying, sharing and developing best practice information
>Widening the understanding and knowledge of the sector and encouraging improvement
