Unit 3 - Stochiometry Flashcards
What does Colombs Law Represent?
The attraction between Cations and Anions
- Higher F = means more attraction
What is an alltrope?
A type of element which can exist in the world as a pure substance in more than just one form
What is a Discrete Atom?
A Group 8A Element which can exist in the world by itself
Metallic Lattice
Elemental Groups from 1A - 2A that come together and form as a lattice
–> a very organized and compact way for the atoms to form and come together resulting in a solid
Molecules
They are elements which can form bonds with eachother
H2 O2 etc
- Halogens, Phosphorous, Oxygen, and Nitrogen
Carbon Network
Carbons have to be the skeletal backbone of molecules
–> they are a carbon network
