During expansion the Berber people of Africa decided to join the Muslims and helped them continue their expansion. Because of this conversion the Muslims did a lot of trading and made the African cities very wealthy with gold and other things.

The political situation between the Han and Sui dynasties was a lot of warring states. This caused certain changes like:
Labor decline (increase of slavery)

Lots of different types of rulers
Decentralization won out for a while but empires came back
