19
Q

domain and range tip

A

what x/y cannot be ex. if theres a jump that x coordinate would be the domain like x cannot equal 8

20
Q

what are the zeroes of a graph

A

the x coordinates of the x intercepts

21
Q

x and y intercepts

A

wherever the line intersects for x its where the line with just x ex. (4, 0)
same for y just with y line not x line
ex. (0, 9)

22
Q

what coordinates are increasing and decreasing intervals?

A

x coordinates

23
Q

What do you do when given something like f(-10) and a graph

A

that means you look at the graph and find the y coordinate on the line corresponding with x = -10

24
Q

How would you find the rate of change for [1, 2]

A

those are both x coordinates so you could look at the graph to see the corresponding y coordinates and then use slope equation (y2-y1/x2-x1)

25
Q

what are the three tests for symmetry?

A

x axis: if replacing y with -y gets the same equation it is true
y axis: if replacing x with -x gets the same equation it is true
origin: if replacing y with -y and x with -x gets the same equation it it true
