british supported israel’s invasion of egypt over the suez canal political parties were torn

us planes took photos of SU installing nuclear missile bases in cuba

US expected canada as part of NORAD to support it’s policies but Dief the chied preferred that the UN send a fast finding mission to cuba which offended the US

USA president ordered a air and navel blockade of cuba and commanded NORAD into action

only a few canadian troops on alert due to deif thinking it was an american issue
