It involves communication, vision, engagement, and inspiration to energize the group to reach the goal

Leaders: has a vision and draws on the passion to engage others
Managers: work with others to realize goals of an organization
What are some examples of a vision for leaders in nursing?
- Having a compassionate way of integrating a patient’s family into patient care
- Staff having greater input on the policies and practices
What is an example of what a manager may focus on in a nursing setting?
Focus on communicating policies and expectations
→ the task would be accomplished not as a healthy motivator
