Action plan

The process of taking corrective actions that will solve problems and ensure that you still reach your goal

Why is it important to set goals?
Setting goals is prt of being motivated. It helps you focus and organise your time and resources so that you can make the most of life
Lifetime goals
Life time goals as those major goal that you would like to. Accomplish in your lifetime. These are normally set to be accomplished in 10 or more years. Lifetime goals may include career goals, educational goals, family goals or even goals for pleasure

Why is goal setting powerful
Goal setting is powerful because it requires you to think about your ideal future, and for motivating you to turn your vision for your future into reality. It is sometimes difficult to figure out how to set personal goals to ensure that we achieve what we want in life. We often tend to focus on one specific area but forget that there are other sometimes even important goals that also need attention
Goal setting will make you think about who and what you would like to be it will turn your dreams for your future into a reality it you don’t write down or formulate these goals. Your dreams will remain dreams

Measurable goal setting l- how will you measure your achievement how “well” will you do
Achievable goal setting-it must be possible to achieve your goal like for example is it possible to achieve 80% for an exam
Relevant goal setting- your goal must be relevant to who you are and what you want to achieve want in life like wanting to achieve 80% in LO will help you pass grade 11 with a great result and your goal must be relevant to your own interests and activities
Time bound goal setting- a goal must have a target date. To set realistic target dates, it is important to decide when you would like to achieve your goals

You will move away from day dreaming and towards a clearer idea of what you want to achieve W in life
You will be able to focus your mind on what is important to you
Having clearer goals will help you achieve what you really want in life
You will start finding new information and knowledge to assist you in achieving your goals

Using the SMART technique break each goal into stages
Be more flexible. If your goal is to spend more time with your friends in Saturdays but you didn’t complete a task in a week
Embrace change: change is an unavoidable part of life meaning that it’s possible that for whatever reason, your goal might need to change

Eight steps for fitness safety
- Start slowly. Do not do more than 10% per week
- Learn the right techniques. Be careful when you use weights, as you can hurt you back and shoulders and always try to protect your knees
- warm up and cool down. Perform stretches only when your body is warmed up. Stretching mat also help to improve your performance in some other activities, by allowing your joints to move through their full range of motion
- Clothing. Wear cool, loose clothing N that fits comfortably. Always buy good quality, durable clothing and fitness accessories
- Drink enough water. The more you sweat the more your body loses. Drink water during , before and after exercises
- Watch the weather. Wear light clothing and use sunscreen to avoid sunburn
- Know when to stop. Listen to your body. Stop studying if you experience a sudden headache, swelling of the face, chest pains, dizziness, an irregular heartbeat
