unit 1 Bodys Response To Exercise Flashcards
What happens to your body when it exercised?
-sweats
-heart rate increases
-breathing faster and deeper
-endorphins are released in your brain
-muscles get tired
-get hotter
Why does the heart beat faster and breathing pattern change when exercising
The cells around the body need more oxygen and get get rid of more carbon dioxide so more oxygen to needed to be breathed in, more carbon dioxide needed to be breathed out and more blood needs to be transported around the body and transport the oxygen and carbon dioxide
What was the conclusion to the experiment about how the intensity of exercise affects the heart rate
The more Intense the exercise, the higher the heart rate goes, after a few minutes rest the heart goes back to the resting heart rate
What is a null hypothesis
The idea that the experiment will make no difference, this is often what is tried to be proven wrong
What was the conclusion to the Daphnia experiment
The higher the concentration of caffeine is given, the higher the heart rate goes
