What is renewable energy?
A
Sources of energy that can never be used up.

How does a wind turbine work?
A
The wind passing over the blades makes them rotate and drive a generator at the top of the tower.

What happens in a hydroelectric power plant?
A
Water is collected in a reservoir and then passed down an incline then the water drives a turbine.

How does the water get into the reservoir?
A
At times of low demand the surplus leccy is used to pump the water back up.

What is wave power?
A
The movement of the waves drives a turbine that turns a generator.

A
When the water rises it is trapped and the released to drive turbines.
