* ATC reports ADS-B Out is lost or degraded
* On the CDU POS REF 3/3 page, the GPS L line is blank and the left transponder is selected
* On the CDU POS REF 3/3 page, the GPS R line is blank and the right transponder is selected

Airspeed Unreliable

Condition & Objective?

A

Condition: Airspeed or Mach indications are suspected to be unreliable.
One or more of the following may be evidence of unreliable airspeed or Mach indications:
* Speed/altitude information not consistent with pitch attitude and thrust setting
* Airpseed or Mach failure flags
* PFD current airspeed box amber
* An amber line through one or more PFD flight mode annunciations
* Blank or fluctuating airspeed display
* Variation between the captain and first officer airspeed displays
* Radome damage or loss
* Overspeed warning
* Simultaneous overspeed and stall warnings

One or more of the following EICAS messages may show:
AIRSPEED LOW
GND PROX SYS
HEAT PITOT L
HEAT PITOT R
HEAT PITOT C
HEAT PITOT L + C + R
OVERSPEED
SGL SOURCE AIR DATA
SGL SOURCE DISPLAYS
WINDSHEAR SYS
AIR DATA SYS

Objective: To identify a reliable airspeed indication, if possible, or to continue the flight using the Flight With Unreliable Airspeed table in the Performance Inflight chapter

A

Condition: One or more of these occur:
* Engine indications are abnormal
* Engine indications are quickly nearing or show an exceedance
* Abnormal engine noises are heard, possibly with airframe vibration
* There is no response to thrust lever movement or the response is abnormal
* Flames in the engine inlet or exhaust are reported

A

Condition:
One or both engines do not reach commanded thrust or roll back, and fuel system icing is suspected (indicated EPR is below commanded EPR and fuel temperature is below -10 degrees)

Objective: To clear ice from the fuel system by reducing engine fuel flow while descending, then checking for proper engine response

The total fuel quantity is reducing at an abnormal rate
** An engine has excessive fuel flow

The FUEL DISAGREE message shows on EICAS
** The FUEL IMBALANCE message shows on EICAS
**
The FUEL QTY LOW message shows on EICAS
*** The INSUFFICIENT FUEL message shows on EICAS

Objective: To confirm there is a fuel leak. If confirmed, to isolate the leak to one of the following:
* engine
* main tank
* centre tank

Condition

A

The aircraft is hijacked

Ice Crystal Icing?

Condition & Objective

A

Condition:
Engine ice crystal icing or TAT probe icing is suspected. Ice Crystal icing conditions exist when in visible moisture, and one or more of the following indications are present:
* Amber or red wxr returns below the airplane
* Appearance of liquid water on the windshield at temperatures too cold for rain (different sound than rain)
* A/T disconnects or is unable to maintain the selected speed
* TAT indication on EICAS stays near 0 degrees C

Objectve:
To exit the ice crystal icing conditions and reduce the operational effects of the icing

A

One or more of the following:
* Reference / Target N1 indications blank
* Reference / Target N1 indications decrease while flying at a constant altitude and airspeed

* Light to moderate turbulence
* Static discharge around the windshield (St Elmo’s fire)

* A static discharge around the windshield
* A bright glow in the engine inlets

A

Condition:
The forward flight deck window has one or more of these:
* An electrical arc
* A delamination
* A crack
* Is shattered

Objective:
* To remove electrical power, if needed, to prevent arcing. To descend, if needed, to minimise forces on the window
