Q

Structure of cell wall

A
  • A rigid structure that surrounds plant cells. It’s made from the carbohydrate cellulose.
  • Freely permeable so substances can pass into and out the cell through the cell wall.

Q

Structure of chloroplast.

A
  • A small, flattened structure found in plant cells.
  • It’s surrounded by double membrane, and also has membranes inside called thylakoid membrane. These membranes are stacked up in some parts of the chloroplast to form grana.
  • Grana are linked together by lamellae - thin, flat pieces of thylakoid membrane.
