RAF Coningsby Located in Lincolnshire. Main operating base for QRA having 5 typhoon squadrons. 3 frontline squadrons: 3(F), 11(F), and 12. With additional two squadrons no 29 sqn ocu and no 41 sqn test and evaluation. BBMF based here operating Chipmunks, Lancasters, Spitfires and Hurricanes.

Essential in training the officers of the RAF, where IOT is done. Home to the first air academy, Air cadets and HQ of RAF recruitment. No 3 and 6 FTS

Largest RAF base, home to the Air mobility aircraft of No. 2 group (air combat support) operating A400m Atlas, A330 Voyager, C17 Globemaster and C-130 Hercules to be retired this year. Essential to the air mobility of the RAF.

Home to the I-STAR Aircraft of the no1 air combat group. Operated from the base are the RC-135a Rivet Joint, MQ-9a Reaper and Shadow R1. As of October 2022 the Red Arrows moved here from RAF Scampton now closed.
