Economic effective because of trade deals
in 2023 the UK signed a trade deal with Australia. This trade deal is predicted to have an increase of the British economy of 0.02% over the next 15 years.
Economic ineffective because of labour shortages
there is a shortfall of 330,000 workers coming into the UK as a result of Brexit.
Political effective because increased democracy
as of December 31st 2023 all former EU laws were terminated in the UK, allowing for more tailored governing over the UK
Political ineffective because weakened political influence
Britain is considered to have lost its “seat at the table” in terms of global discussions. The UK gave up a lot of power by leaving the EU so the European Union is free to pass whatever laws, make any decisions or deals they want without considering how it impacts the UK.
Social effective because immigration laws
in September of 2021, the UK government passed the points based immigration system that sought to allow only higher skilled or more qualified immigrants into the country.
Social ineffective healthcare
the NHS is currently missing around 4,000 foreign doctors who have chosen not to work in the UK because of Brexit
