in South Sudan conflict has broken out, £6.3 million have been struggling to find food and 4 million have had to flee
UK prioritises former colonies
India is considered a ‘nuclear power’, they have access to nuclear weapons so it can be argued that although they have high levels of poverty they can be considered as developed country.Despite this DFID still gave aid to them up until 2015.
UK wastes money
in 2016, DFID spent over £285 million in building an airport in St Helena, a place with a population of only 4,000. Upon construction it was found that the area was ‘too windy’ to function as an airport resulting in a mass loss of money.
