What is typography?
The arrangement of letterforms (letters, fonts, text, etc.) in a way that makes the information legible, clear and visually appealing to the reader.

- Sans means “without”.
- Sans serif fonts DO NOT have serifs (small feet on the letters).
- More of a modern font

- More of a traditional font

- Script
- Tends to be fancier, flowy and more like cursive.
- Not good for body copy, but similar uses as a display font.

Typeface
The design of a single set a letterform, numerals and punctuation marks unified by consistent visual properties. Typeface designs are identified by name, such as Helvetica or Garmond.
Type style
Modifications in a typeface that create design variety while maintaining the visual character of the typeface. These include variations in weight (light, medium or bold), width (condensed or extended) or angle (italic, slanted vs. roman or upright)
